Yoda vs Kyp Durron

I think Kyp is more powerful but Yoda be a better duelist enough to possibly take Kyp

Kyp is in and around post prime Aurra level based on comparisons between him, Kyle and Caedus. Do you think Aurra has a chance against Yoda.

Can you explain why that is, I don’t c how he can be Aura level when he surpassed Luke with Kuns teaching and Yoda as of ROTS stated that he couldn’t lift 6 Muntuur stones only being able to lift 5 which equates to roughly let’s say 15 tons whereas Kyps Dovin Basal Feat is over 20 sextillion tons, I think that’s a liiitle bit bigger

Kyp's accomplishments in the Force (well, telekinesis; but both Yoda's and Kyp's highest accomplishments relate to telekinesis either way) dwarf Yoda's in sheer magnitude, tbh. Kyp being around pre-prime Vong War Luke honestly means he scales above Yoda. Even 25 ABY Luke is > Yoda clearly and definitely. So as far as Force goes, Kyp > Yoda by a visible amount.

Now, lightsaber combat is different. Kyp's combat accomplishments never reached the level of his insane Force power, and asserting the base minimal level Kyp would reach as a duelist just based on his Force connection as a whole (not Control/inner manipulation and amplifying-specific one) with his amount of lightsaber training (which is, as with all Jedi Orders, pretty high) is still not Yoda's level. We have to assert the logical minimum for 3 components:
- his raw Force connection affecting the physicals
- not many Control feats demonstrating his abilities in this area are similar in insane magnitude to outside raw applications
- lightsaber training (very high and intense in the Jedi Order itself, and we have to include he fought lots of Vongs and survived the war and they can't be fought off with the Force)
but that really doesn't bring us to >Yoda level. Around Yoda? Sure.

Probably Yoda wins. Kyp is more powerful in the Force, but not so much more powerful than he can beat Yoda just on the premise of these skills (it takes TREMENDOUS difference in power to win a lightsaber duel using the Force), and Yoda's standing as a duelist is more solid.

Except he didn't surpass Luke. In fact Mara Jade is confirmed to be the most powerful in the NJO apart from Luke. The same Mara Jade who can barely collapse a cave. Kyp is on record stating he can't call on his power on that scale that reliably. Hence why Luke never chose him for critical missions. Against Caedus he took Saba and Kyle. Againsy Abeloth he took Jaina and Corran.

Yoda was casually throwing around massive droid dropships and scales above RotS Obi-Wan who was tossing mountain sized objects. His limit isn't 15 tons. Freaking lol. That's likely only referring to how many he can lift passively in meditation 

If Kyp was actually capable of throwing around that kind of power he wouldn't be even with Katarn or below Mara....... which he is. Likewise the person he's compared to (Viun) wouldn't be fodder to someone vastly weaker than someone who only had "much" of Luke's power.

I don't really see how you can say RoTS Yoda could only lift 6 stones when he's lifted several hundred droideka's and casually TK'ing and throwing around 200 meter long droid carrier ships. Yeah I guess you could argue that Kyp probably has more raw power than Yoda, but the skill gap is hilariously big it's not even funny.

Reminds me of Meetra's fight with Kreia on Malachor where (hindered) Meetra is stated to be less powerful than (amped) Kreia but still comes out on top due to the difference in skill.

Yoda should take this. Kyp has a monstrous level of power but Yoda is better in combat overall.
