Anakin’s blade basically responds to his will. Mace can’t really accomplish anything here

Mace didn't say "take a seat young Skywalker" yet so I don't think Anakin holds a grudge against Nick Fury.

I doubt Anakin's willpower will be a factor against Mace, whom he didn't share negativities as he did with Dooku. Anakin is more skilled but Mace's experience and superior technique should be enough to deal with Skywalker.

It wasn't willpower that won Anakin his battle with Dooku. Its similar to if you're fighting with your 7 year old brother. You can keep at his pace to prolong the fight but can still end the fight at any given moment. Just because you decide to end the fight at a random moment doesn't mean it was some insane form of willpower.Anakin was just so far above Dooku at that moment that he could end the fight whenever he chose. Which is a level I don't think Windu is at.

Good fight but Mace's mental edge is more decisive than Anakin's power edge, same goes for Yoda and Sidious.

this would be the most brutal fight of PT era .
OP states this is peak mace .
so assuming he receives the same amp as he did against sidious i have to side with windu in this fight .

neither of them have decisive edge in terms of force powers so it would quickly become a lightsaber duel .
windu belongs to the elite group of swordsmen :
only windu , yoda and later luke managed to disarm sidious in lightsaber combat which is more impressive than anakin beating dooku tbh .
on top of that mace is much more aligned and mentally stable and he has more raw power and
much better stamina than dooku and can actually create momentum in a duel against skywalker .

TBH I don't think Yoda or Sheev could basically oneshot Dooku in sabers like Zonakin did.

Zonakin didn't one-shot Dooku in sabers though.

that maybe so (although i take it with a grain of salt)
but amped mace is leagues above already tired dooku .
base RoTS mace = LS RoTS anakin <= RoTS dooku < zonakin <= peak amped mace windu

zonakin and peak mace are tier 9s whereas dooku always remains "just" one of the best tier 8s .
he could never amp himself beyond that level . whereas the other two can if they bring their A game .

Zonakin never one-shot Dooku, and that was a tired Dooku. Mace could most likely replicate that with the same level of difficulty and probably even less (again, if Dooku's in the same tired state he was during that passage; the average tier 8 could give any tier 9 a decent to good lightsaber fight, and Dooku's near the top of that bracket). It doesn't prove Zonakin could best Sidious, for example.

The novel shows us what was actually happening though. They were going through the motions so to speak(which is the 15 seconds you're speaking of) until Anakin decided to win. And the very moment he decided that he cut off Dooku's arms.

the point is amped mace would overpower dooku in the same/very similar fasion zonakin did .
so this proves nothing in relation to this fight .

mace disarmed dookus master after all and was able to augment himself
to the point dooku would hardly be able to even react to his ferotious attacks and parry .
not to mention he would be exhausted after a few seconds .
