I'd love to know how Dooku is stomping one of the most powerful Sith of all time. Like, he's legitimately > Darth Nihilus, lmao.

Traya has a very clear estimate for Nihilus' power and the power of the ancient Sith Lords which she studied from the Telos IV Sith holocron stash and the necropolis of knowledge from Malachor V. She fears that Nihilus might have already achieved a level of power on par with some of the ancient Sith.
Her statements are backed up by the fact that Visas Marr is in awe of the dark side energy in Freedon Nadd's tomb and that the Sith Triumvirate were actively resurrecting Freedon Nadd on Dxun. Besides the fact Avellone verifies the veracity of Traya's statements as his in-game 'mouthpiece'.

One is one of the finest lightsaber duelists in the history of Star Wars. He’s matched Obi-Wan and Anakin at the same time a few months before ROTS, strained Yoda, and matched TCW Mace blow for blow.
On the other side, we have a guy with no feats except a badass helmet and an “incredibly intense sexual relationship” with his Dashade lover (source: J.K Rowling).
Dooku stomps.

i think its pretty simple. sidious is considred the best sith duelist ever by PT era. yoda fought sheev and beat. only person who is more skilled than dooku is confirmed to be yoda. u do the math.

Only people I can think of who are or might be equal to/more skilled than Dooku are:
Mace Windu (more).
Yoda (more).
Sidious (probably more).
Outlander (more).
Arcann (maybe equal).
GM Luke (more).
Anakin (maybe more depending on the version).
Vaylin (maybe close to him depending on Arcann and Outlander scaling but not equal and 100% not above).
Hord is definitely not one of them

Honestly, Dooku looks more badass by miles

Why is the outlander more?

@lorenzo.r.2nd The Outlander has more experience, has defeated far more opponents of equal worth to any that Dooku has actually defeated, carved his way through small armies with a mix of skill and power (usually by himself), fairly easily bested Imperial royal guards in a potent DS nexus while vastly pre-prime, had legendary martial abilities during the GCR at only 20-24 years old, is also a master of numerous forms (forms 1, 3, 4, 5, and 7), has better physicals to complement his already comparable skill, etc.

yes, thats good and all, but i think yoda is confirmed to be the best duelist in the order's history. i could try to look for the exact quote of course, but im pretty that yoda is the best ever. dooku fighting him clearly puts him around, or better than the outlander. he may have defeated powerful opponents, but none of them were as skilled as dooku is in dueling, and only 2(?) people who were maybe stronger and better with force than dooku himself. dooku has overpowered grievous numerous time, not to mention anakin AND obi at the same time as well, while holding back. him dueling anakin and obi in TCW and winning while holding is honestly much better than any dueling feats the outlander might have. not to mention his semi even duel with yoda in vjun, where in it being a nexus doenst affect one's skill with saber whatsoever.

The Outlander isn't really a member of the Order anymore, and hasn't been for about 8 years in the current SWTOR timeline. He infinitely grew in power between then and the current period, so the accolade doesn't include him.
dooku fighting him clearly puts him around, or better than the outlander.
Not really.
Arcann was trained since birth and was never once defeated in combat during countless invasions. Malgus is a legendary swordsman. Vaylin went from being stomped by Senya to matching Arcann blow for blow in the space of a year and a bit, and then grew infinitely after that. The Outlander still beat her.he may have defeated powerful opponents, but none of them were as skilled as dooku is in dueling,
Arcann is about as strong, Vaylin is a fair bit stronger, Malgus at this point is probably comparable to him.and only 2(?) people who were maybe stronger and better with force than dooku himself.
dooku has overpowered grievous numerous time,
With a lot of inside knowledge of his technique.
not to mention anakin AND obi at the same tim as well, while holding back.
If you're talking about ROTS, they were beating him.
him dueling anakin and obi in TCW and winning while holding is honestly much better than any dueling feats the outlander might have.
Carving through small armies, comfortably beating Arcann before his prime in KOTET, soloing a much more powerful Malgus than ever before, besting highly trained and highly motivated Knights of Zakuul while heavily weakened and infinitely pre-prime (note that the Knights get stronger and perform better the more extensive and significant the task they undertake), holding his own against Arcann in sabers despite the latter's ridiculous power advantage...
Contradicted by the novel itself:not to mention his semi even duel with yoda in vjun, where in it being a nexus doenst affect one's skill with saber whatsoever.
The Count's blade was quick as a viper striking. Among the other Jedi, perhaps only Mace Windu would have been his equal on neutral ground: but here on Vjun, steeped in the dark side, his bladework was malice made visible—wickedness cut in red light.
There are links between power and skill.

1. i didnt even know he left the order by that point. i suppose he is one of the first lost 20 huh lol
2. thats subjective, so ill give u that.
3. trained since birth? amazing. not like dooku has 70++ years of training under his belt by the best duelist in the verse by that point huh. the outlander beating good duelists is not comparable to dooku. kit fisto is one of the orders best duelists ever, and TCW kenobi was around his lvl by that point, and dooku completely destroyed him often while holding back during the show.
4. i mean physically. him pushing grevious arms out of the way, same with savage, is a physical feat.
5. im talking about TCW.
6. so u wanna tell me that dooku beating obi wan and anakin in TCW without much effort is not as good as fighting small armies? AOTC anakin has done kriff like this, i believe. arcann is not skilled enough to beat both of them at the same time in a sword fight. dooku has fodderized AOTC kenobi, ventress, anakin, sora bulq, tholme, and quinlan so often that its sad lol
7. a viper striking? any jedi is fast enough to do that man. hell, a normal boxer has already been scientifically proven to be faster than a viper's strike lol and malice made evil is supposed to mean what? wickedness cut in read? none of that says that he a sudden boost in skill cuz of a nexus that amps one's connection to the force.

Nope. the Lost Twenty were Jedi who left the Order of their own free will. Being captured, frozen in carbonite and ostracised by the Republic doesn't count, tbh.
2. thats subjective, so ill give u that.
Fair enough.
3. trained since birth? amazing. not like dooku has 70++ years of training under his belt by the best duelist in the verse by that point huh. the outlander beating good duelists is not comparable to dooku. kit fisto is one of the orders best duelists ever, and TCW kenobi was around his lvl by that point, and dooku completely destroyed him often while holding back during the show.
My point is that he's able to defeat swordsman who have carved their way through swathes of enemies by themselves, including one who defeated a Jedi grandmaster long before his prime.
4. i mean physically. him pushing grevious arms out of the way, same with savage, is a physical feat.
Parrying, not blocking. Uses your opponent's momentum against them instead of using any of your own.
5. im talking about TCW.
He wasn't beating them. The duel was pretty even.
He wasn't beating them. The fight was pretty even, and he was visibly tiring at the end.
6. so u wanna tell me that dooku beating obi wan and anakin in TCW without much effort
is not as good as fighting small armies? AOTC anakin has done kriff like this, i believe.
And I assume you have examples of him doing this and then going on to outduel a powerful Force user/swordsman with little to no rest?
Neither was Dooku.
arcann is not skilled enough to beat both of them at the same time in a sword fight.
Not saying much. Kit Fisto was better than Obi-Wan at this point.dooku has fodderized AOTC kenobi,
ventress
Only early TCW Ventress. Otherwise, he only "fodderised" her with the Force. He was dominating, not stomping.
,
anakin
Which one?
, sora bulq,
Again, with the Force.
tholme
Who's basically featless.
, and quinlan so often that its sad lol
Yet again, another meh swordsman who was being stomped by a massively holding back TCW Mace twice in a sparring match.
7. a viper striking? any jedi is fast enough to do that man. hell, a normal boxer has already been scientifically proven to be faster than a viper's strike lol and malice made evil is supposed to mean what? wickedness cut in read? none of that says that he a sudden boost in skill cuz of a nexus that amps one's connection to the force.
That's not what I was pointing to with this quote. Read it again, specifically this part:
Among the other Jedi, perhaps only Mace Windu would have been his equal on neutral ground: but here on Vjun, steeped in the dark side, his bladework was malice made visible—wickedness cut in red light.
