Novel Vitiate is still many levels of scaling beyond the ancient Sith to such a degree that any level of parity between them and the likes of Vader, makes Vader basically a one-shot here. By extension, Starkiller is sub-KotOR Revan.

i think its a tough fight. vitiate is hax as fuck, more skilled with the force, and seemingly smarter, while galen is more powerful, and a better duelist, while likely faster. idk for now.

Vitiate's only edge is sorcery/esoteric abilities, in all other avenues Galen has him surpassed.
