Maul vs Starkiller

Who would win?

On topic, both are greatly below the RotS titans, but the extents of the respective power gaps are a bit hard to determine in relation to one another. I'm not sure who wins.

I think SK has tools and power to defeat him. They are comparable in sabers but Marek has a clear edge in the Force. His raw strength and access to more Force related powers should grant him the victory.

Starkiller wins.

He has better environmental feats (e.g. atomising the Salvation, re-directing a falling ISD, etc) and scales above Vader to a degree that I don't think Maul does (if Maul is even above Vader at all).

While the feat against TFU Vader was extremely impressive from SK, iirc the clone Maul defeated Vader in lightsaber combat and dominated numerous jedi masters whilst SK also had struggle against Ti. Maul defeated Jinn as well who can considered par Ti more comfortably.

Maul's doppelganger defeating Vader isn't canon brother. Also SK that struggled against Ti was quite away from his prime.

Him beating a force collectively superior to Vader and then the man himself twice over, while already exhausted from atomising an 150m frigate is leaps and bounds beyond anything Maul has done.

@NotAA3 @HellfireUnit The reason for it’s creation in the first place was to put an end to fan speculation about who would win, as it was marketed as ‘The brawl to settle it all’ (scan) making the fact that the event never actually happened - and that it’s an earlier version of Vader - irrelevant. The comic depicts how a fight would have gone if Maul and Vader met, even if it technically never happened. This was meant to be the end of discussion.

Galen should have it. Briefly holding his own against Palpatine in a Force lock, prior to his Oneness event, is greater than anything Maul has demonstrated, and Galen's ability to match and then overpower Vader in saber combat should make him just skilled enough to hold his own with Maul in a duel.

Disagreed. Maul almost killing Sidious in a duel whilst virtually on the brink of death, along with his barracks feat and contending with the emperor are infinitely better than what Galen brings to the table.

This. I’d also thrown in Maul matching Qui-Gon’s literal ‘earthshaking’ strength, and later managing to somewhat block Jinn’s ‘ship shuddering’ strike. Both speak to huge power via augmentation.

Ah I forgot. Anyways SK was able to beat Vader whilst completely exhausted. This puts him well above Vader. Maul shows parity with Obiwan who is only solidly above TFU 2 Vader. So SK performed better than I think Obi Wan(who I'm using as a proxy for Maul)would have given the circumstances.

We don't really know how powerful that "clone" of Maul was relative to the original, especially given claims that it was an illusion. Starkiller is also the kind of combatant to spam Force attacks, and his feats in that area are vastly greater than Maul's.

Well:

1. That was way pre-prime Galen.
2. Shaak Ti had several environmental advantages.
3. We don't know how much Shaak Ti grows between RotS and TFU

Starkiller destroys

SK is conceivably a comparable duelist with much more raw power. I think it's safe to side with him.

Maul would probably beat TFU Vader though.

in their respective primes both of them can beat pre prime suit vader .
i´m not sure they can beat RoTJ vader though .
i have them both a bit below dooku and trusting this scaling they should be slightly below RoTJ vader as well .

it´s virtually a toss-up .
despite i believe starkiller has an edge in the force i believe maul could win in an all out duel due to his superior saber skills .

i´m going with maul for a very slim majority .
