I don't think anyone mastered Vaapad other than Mace and Kas'im.

I know that’s a troll comment, but Depa is stated to have mastered Vaapad.

Okay, but she proved with her actions that she actually didn't. Otherwise she wouldn't have fallen to the dark side.
Am I missing something? Vaapad is a state of mind meant to take one to the penumbra of the dark side, not get lost in it. Even Mace by the time he fought Depa had not properly mastered Vaapad. I'm sure she mastered the movements of Form VII, but that's not the same thing.

It was a joke. In Book of Sith Bane claims that Kas'im had mastered an esoteric form known as "Vaapad" even though it was due to be invented in a thousand year's time.

Drew wrote in PoD that Sirak knew Vaapad too lol. Doesn't Quinlan comment on that in BoS?

I mean, it's possible that Kas'im simply used the name of the Vaapad creature to describe Form VII, which would be an inexplicable coincidence...

Unless Mace took inspiration from that.

I also don't see how Depa mastering Vaapad or being on the Jedi Council automatically proves her superiority in the Force.

Canon or Legends?
Legends no idea as Depa has no real saber feats to gauge from other than Mace’s opinion and her circumstantial feat in Shatterpoint
Canon
Her feat with Grievous impressed me more than Kas’im being an utter failure but idk if she’d recognize his lightsaber forms
