The original thread was Sidious vs. Malgus. I'm less taken aback by this one given the opinions of certain users, although I think it's just as much a stomp in Sidious's favor.

Several scaling chains can be employed.
1. Darth Bane is by feats already in the ballpark of SoR Revan, and Banite scaling puts a stomp tier gap between him and Sidious. So Sidious would stomp Revan too.
2. Novel Revan is by accolades inferior to TPM Yoda and Mace, who are equal/inferior to Ventress per both feats and accolades, who in turn is inferior to Dooku, who got stomped by a tier 8 in 12 seconds, so obviously the tier 9 TPM Sidious is going to absolutely destroy Novel Revan who sits at the bottom of this chain.

BoD seeks to ascend from tier 8 to tier 9 through the use of gifs and incredulous responses... and while such abuse of the dark side may grant him the power he seeks more quickly, he will not be there mentally.

I'm curious: did you actually read the arguments for the eighth round in the tourney, or did you vote Revan simply because you wanted him to win?
TPM Mace and Yoda are equals per quotes. Ventress then has a quote which states he can give Yoda and Anakin during the Clone Wars a good fight, and Windu also fights Ventress twice during the Clone Wars, needing to use all his skills to overcome him on one occasion, and seemingly being inferior on the second occasion.
I addressed all of this in our debate. If you still disagree, feel free to read it again and make a response.

2. Yet he was still afraid to fight him, putting closeness between Plagueis and even post-boost Sidious, so obviously pre-boost Sidious would be close to post-boost Sidious as well.
3. Any power Sidious would accumulate after that would begin to destroy his body.
4. Windu at his very peak was a 9.
5. Windu's very peak happened during the office duel with Sidious.
6. Therefore office Sidious when he's dueling with a blade is a 9.
7. Yet we know he wasn't exerting himself to his fullest there, because he wasn't destroying his own body like he was later on with the lightning.
8. So he was likely operating at TPM levels when he was dueling with the blade, yet was still a 9.
Conclusion: TPM Sidious is a 9.

Of course I voted Revan because I wanted him to win (I wouldn't vote for someone if I didn't want them to win?), much in the same manner you voted Plagueis because you wanted him to win. Regarding me potentially not reading arguments, and still voting, I'm not sure why that's at all relevant - not all of us have the time or dedication to read 50 walls of text before we vote - some of us just vote based off our own conclusions on the material. As it happens, I did read the debate, but given that I only read it once asking me to remember every single point afterwards when about 50 different ones were made is a bit of a stretch. At the time, I must have read the arguments regarding whichever point you're referencing, and not found them convincing. Care to re-post them, or link the page of the tourney they were written in?

Post-boost Sidious's fear of Plagueis is contextual, and I don't find a commonly used hyperbolic English phrase particularly compelling evidence that Sidious hit his full potential when he killed his master.

Why do people keep pointing to an emotionally distraught Mace "using all of his skills" to beat her? That proves absolutely nothing beyond that he wasn't holding back by any noticeable margin. He still pretty quickly overwhelmed her and she herself said she couldn't beat him. He's pretty clearly got her quite heavily outclassed. Take her last sentence how you will, but the fact that she believes only one option is open to her (flee) suggests that Mace is solidly out of her league to the point where killing him is out of the question.

Plagueis is more powerful than Revan, and Sheev killed his master upon having the "skill and ability to do so". Basically a Plagueis vs Revan thread unless you supremacy quote TPM Sheev over Vitiate.
