Hmmm I think Revan could maybe pull it off. Definitely an incredible fight though that could really go either way.

Revan wins pretty easily. Novel Vitiate =/= Novel Revan, but in the novel Vitiate was amped, while Revan was hindered and recovering from four years of drugging and torture. SoR Revan >> Novel Revan.

Revan himself admits in the novel that he’s not able to go toe to toe with Vitiate for long. It’s the whole reason he brought Meetra, Scourge and T4. The moment Vitiate got serious, he one-shot Revan. While the fight would be a lot closer, Vitiate would still win.

Yes, but this was a heavily amped Vitiate, fighting a severely hindered Revan still recovering from drugging and torture. Vitiate didn’t oneshot him, he was serious from the start. Scourge’s visions predicted a 50/50 chance of Revan winning, and Revan would have one, but the distance was too great.

Is there any establishment of a time span between his being free and them attacking Vitiate? IIRC there is one.

I think it’s less than a day, I’m not sure. On vacation and using mobile, so can’t verify.

Threads like this are possible because Drew is such a sloppy writer.

Spends the entire novel marveling about how powerful and unbeatable Vitiate is - only to have him struggle immensely with Revan on a nexus, in his temple and throne room, lmao. Then, per the future Wrath's vision, Tenebrae would have more or less split with the strike team; even tho Meetra and Scrouge should have been one shot fodder to him.
