Kyle has way, way, way more feats to his name, against way more well-established characters. If we limited it to Dark Forces II Katarn, I could see an argument for X2, maybe.

X2 fought off General Grievous while wielding an electrostaff, but he did so alongside Mace Windu. The obvious assumption is that Mace Windu would have done most of the work in that encounter. Once he had some Jedi training, X2 defeated 6 Phase II Dark Troopers with a lightsaber, which is decently impressive, but Kyle Katarn destroyed the whole Dark Trooper operation before he even knew he was Force sensitive. His best feat is defeating X1 (who had studied a Sith holocron, trained in the Dark Side under Vader, and declared himself a Sith Lord after Palpatine's death), while X1 was backed up by four Imperial Red Guards on Mustafar and a few Wookiee clones.
There is a bit of contention about where to place X1, since we know X1 somehow captured Luke Skywalker. However, this happened off-screen and we know nothing about the events that lead to Luke's capture. This also happened very shortly after RotJ, so it's not like we're looking at Jedi Master Luke. Even if X1 is as skilled as RotJ Luke and defeated him in fair combat, we know Kyle Katarn is arguably Luke's superior, or at least nearly his equal, by the time of Jedi Outcast, when Luke is "defeated" by Desann, and Kyle ultimately bests Desann. This puts Kyle in the ballpark of a much, much more powerful Luke than the one X1 captured.
Really, there's just no contest here. X2 dies to any version of Katarn post-Dark Forces II.

Katarn not only because of arguably superior feats but more showings and relevance towards his entire career as a jedi

Yes, Mace couldn't take Grievous alone. But that doesn't mean that X2 contributed more than Mace Windu in that encounter. Just that Mace Windu needed the extra assistance from X2 to actually drive off Grievous. Gameplay-wise, obviously the player would do more work than the ally AI in the battle, but lore-wise it makes more sense that the highly skilled Jedi Master was the primary reason for their victory. X2 likely would have been destroyed by Grievous if Mace weren't involved in that duel.

DE Luke->10-9 Yoda<-8-6 6-4 4-2 2-0
They are both DE Luke level adepts.
X2 pre-prime as a clone was Jedi Master level.
X2 defeated X1 who has dark side immersion and created his own Sith holocron. X2 possibly stomped him so he's a stomp gap above a Yoda level adept who pre-prime contended with Jedi masters himself.
Kyle Katarn was in his physical prime at the time of defeating Desann who was able to contend with Jed Outcast Luke (2 years after Dark Empire).
Pre-Valley of the Jedi Kyle was a Jedi Master at 33 who taught Mara in the ways of the force.
The Valley of the Jedi afforded Jerec with 'omniscience' and empowered an army of Reborn force-sensitive adepts. Kyle would've been boosted 4 tiers by the Valley at least.
X2 was a Jedi Knight as of defeating X1 and Luke after made him a Jedi Master instantly.
X2 was either 33 or 39 years old.
This is evenly matched but Kyle has more feats and accolades and is potentially an edge younger in his prime (33 years old).
Kyle Katarn wins 5.5/10
