Yea, after getting betrayed by Anakin and having his hand chopped off, and the shock that came with that betrayal, since Anakin was still a Jedi.

That's why Palpatine's face was getting shriveled up into a raisin. If Palpatine kept it up, his face would've melted off, while Mace kept blocking. Vaapad uses the dark side energy and transfers it back out, so it would go on forever until Palpatine gave up.

This is absolutely not what is stated in the novel.

Vaapad is stated as a form that uses the dark side energy of it's rival and transfers it back out at them, causing a loop effect. It was only used to it's full potential in the duel with Sidious. So yes, I am right, just concede m8

I know exactly what Vaapad is, Mace admits that Sheev's power was beyond Vaapad and his lightsaber blade was literally bending back towards him. He couldn't take Sheev at his strongest, he lost. Then Sheev gave up because Anakin had arrived. Re-read it and concede.
