Shaak Ti vs Darth Thanaton

Not sure if Thanaton can be scaled, but the thought of Shaak Ti winning makes me sick

I'm not sure exactly how the ol emperor amassed his army, but did it include a galactic-wide regulatory system enforcing every single planet in the Republic's durastriction to test the midi-chlorian-counts of their newborns and store them in some massive holocron for the Jedi to pick out the best of the crop?

I have no way of comparing the two, really. So when that happens you'll probably see arguments like this.

Yes, and with this method of comparison Thanaton proves much stronger. Ti might be a bit better with the blade, but the difference is negligible tbh.

Thanaton's "feats" are non existent to say the least.

That's...simply not true. He doesn't have many feats, but the ones he does have are highly impressive and most come far pre-prime.

By TFU, Shaak Ti handles it definitely. Before that, it's debatable.

I don't get all the Ti hate. Yeah on the one hand Wollfymyth wanked the shit out of her to ridiculous levels, but she is a planetary biosphere dominating monster who has the skill to defend against around 8 magnagaurds (specifically Grevious's trained body guards) and even outduel them...

Personally, I think its apparent that Thanaton is outmatched here, I can't see how he would win being honest

Turning Felucia into a LS nexus by training mass numbers of native Felucians in the Jedi ways and turning them from the dark does not make her a "planetary biosphere dominating monster". At least, that's what I'm assuming you're referring to, no?

As for Thanaton, he's done this:


Here he telekinetically manipulates starship wreckage into a football field-long bridge that he walks,all while protecting himself from the vacuum of space. Oh, and this was also around 20 years pre-prime.

One-shotting a terentatek. Not a god-tier feat but still highly impressive.

Uses Force storm to fly over short distances. I'm honestly not sure how to measure or quantify this feat, but it's worth mentioning.

So yeah, Ti is just outmatched here. Not sure how she wins.

Ti is literally the only thing stopping Felucia from becoming a dark side nexus.

People are neglecting to mention Thanaton tearing apart Act 2 Nox w/2 ancient Sith spirits augmenting her power massively, (one of these spirits, Darth Andru, was powerful enough to mindrape Nox and drop Khem Val with TP instantly). Granted it took some strain for Thanaton to perform the feat but given how powerful this incarnation of Nox is, I’m not sure if Ti can match that. Perhaps with some zany scaling, but my money is on Thanaton.

Off-topic a bit but the scaling Nox & Thanaton give each other due to the nature of their confrontations is massive.

Just consider: Act 1 Nox, who was stronger than the spirit of his ancestor Kallig, was far weaker than Thanaton. So he went and added the power of two Sith spirits (Ergast & Andru) and Thanaton still killed him. Nox went on to add the power of 2 more spirits (Zavros & Horak-Mul) and proceeded to one-shot Thanaton with the combined power of his spirits. Over the course of the next few months he increased his midichlorian count to better contain his power, healed his mind, and added a fifth spirit (a rando Voss, tbf). Nox then defeated Thanaton is single combat, twice, WITHOUT the aid of his spirits. At the end of their second confrontation, Thanaton drew upon as much power as he could muster into one final Force maelstrom that began to overwhelm Nox but he survived due to his spirits, then murked Thanaton.

It's insane.

Thanaton... He is way to underrated. I have already made some explanation on CV about the level of power of Thanaton. Clearly he is above Shaak-ti.

Shaak based on her considerably greater dueling skills, her control over the environment, and her ability to at least match Thanaton in the Force.

Thanaton still slaps.
