I view Sidious as a monster but who wanted to rule the galaxy, not destroy it. Vitiate just wanted to become immortal and all-powerful by killing all life in the galaxy.

I think stripping every living being in the galaxy of their ability to think and act freely, and turning them into soulless automatons that are subsumed into your ego, is arguably worse than just killing them. And then doing the same on a universal scale.

Controlling all those people or ripping the Force energy from their bodies and the world and absorbing it, leaving everything a lifeless husk? Not sure, to be honest. Both are evil.

Qui-Gon is by far the most evil character, he is responsible for creating the mess that all 3 trilogies caused to the galaxy. If only had he not said "Anakin, drop" when Maul was chasing them on the speeder, the galaxy would be a much better place.
