Aside from the irony of HP telling anyone sarcasm doesn't suit them, Vader by ROTJ is >>> the one who could go toe to toe with Starwanker (yes, he did, so don't bother throwing another hissy fit, HP), and thus scales off of him. On top of that, he's vastly superior to the version of Vader who was winning against Ben despite Ben's massive power growth. The only way Exar wins is through hax and sorcery. In skill, Vader most likely has him outmatched, and he's most likely comparable in the Force (to a non-amulet Exar, that is).

Now to sit back and see who bites first.

@lorenzo.r.2nd Source? He has no feats with sorcery AFAIK.

First one isn't necessarily sorcery, and the second is probably just a mind trick or animal taming.

the illusion was sorcery, but the one im more unsure about is the second one. pretty sure i got it from here https://comicvine.gamespot.com/profile/zapan871/blog/darth-vader-respect-thread-part-1/128786/ there is a force knowledge part in there, which is where i think i read it

It was meant to be ironic.
Starkiller was exhausted and still won. Also, if you want to use the far more formidable quote you'll essentially have to concede Ti > Vader in swordsmanship which means SK scales above him.

Starkiller was exhausted
And recovering over the course of a few minutes.* At least, in fact, considering the pacing of the confrontation.
and still won.
Nice to know circumstances aren't a thing when it comes to Starwanker.

If there's a G-canon one indicating that Ti > Vader like there is one (as well as several Insider and Fightsaber ones) indicating ESB Vader >> ANH Vader, by all means. I've been open for ages with my belief that Vader is a pretty meh combatant (a mid tier 8 at best), just a very powerful Force user.

@BreakofDawn
Running up platforms isn't recovering... and you have no evidence it took him several minutes to reach Vader. The only time he did have to recover was during a meditation trance which was almost immediately interruped by Vader.
What circumstances? Starkiller being exhausted and Vader knowing his style in and out - specifically tailoring it to perfectly defend against him? No, we'll just ignore all that, and instead focus on every minuscule detail we can find to paint Starkiller as the one rigged with the deck in his favour, but really, it's the opposite.
The only quote I'm aware of that states ESB Vader is >> ANH Vader, is the one from Fightsaber, and that exact same article states that Vader lacks the advanced polish and study of lifelong masters, clearly indicating he's below Ti in this field, rendering your comparisons with Galen bunk if you try to use this quote to scale Vader vastly above 'Killer.

he used the dark side my man, which in its simplest forms, can 'wash away fatigue'. 86 y/o, tired ass dooku, with no force reserves left did it in 10 seconds lmaoooo

Where on earth is it evidenced using the Dark Side can wash away fatigue? This is irrelevant regardless, given that SK actively resisted the Dark Side for his whole fight with Vader.

Dooku used the Dark Side to augment himself - washing away his physical fatigue - that isn't the same as recovering Force Reserves.

@lorenzo.r.2nd I was gonna refrain from debating Star Wars and posting in threads because I'm on hiatus due to personal issues, and was only going to respond to rebuttals for debates I'm already engaged in but this is so unbelievably, mind bogglingly ignorant that I felt obliged to respond. I only have a few words for you: read the fucking novel, in which it is perfectly clear that Galen is not drawing on the dark side.

@Lorenzo.r.2nd The dark side doesn't work like that, anyway. Think of it like having two jars. When one empties, you can use the other to refresh it, but only as long as that jar has stuff in it. Starkiller was exhausted, true, but while he did recover his strength he didn't use the dark side to do it. You can't use nothingness to heal nothingness.

Debunk it then. And do me a favour and don't go for the "oh he is talking about personality" bit. Its just reaching at this point, seeing as the quote refers to power twice. And it would also be untrue, seeing as Kun as of page 1 was still a Jedi Padawan who was squeamish about killing people
