Mace Windu & Count Dooku Vs Darth Vader (Knightfall)

Who would win?

If prime/peak Mace, he could honestly solo with high difficulty. Adding in Dooku gives the team a solid win. KFV won't be able to focus on Dooku with Mace in the fight, and the Count will only compliment Mace's abilities and help him to take Vader down.

Team 8-9/10, simply because there's always a chance KFV can defeat Dooku fast enough and still have the energy to take an incredibly close fight with Mace.

1v1 alone kfv destroys both

He can destroy the Count, but him vs Mace is a close fight.

I don't think that Mace is far above Dooku. I think KFV could do same thing against Mace.

I specified peak/prime Mace. KFV is never stomping him like he did to Dooku.

I don't think that Mace can defeat a Yoda level opponent.

I don't think that Prime Mace is far above Dooku

One can contend with Sidious. The other can't. That puts him pretty far above him at his peak/prime.

Why do you think that Dooku can't fight ROTS Sidious? He put a good fight against Yoda who was same level as ROTS Sidious.

AOTC Yoda isn't ROTS Yoda, and I'm not even getting into the mess that's the AOTC Yoda vs AOTC Dooku argument. Since this board also loves G-canon quotes, only 3 people can contend with Sidious by ROTS, and none of them are Dooku. At best he'd give Sidious a good fight, but he has virtually no chance at winning.

Prove the "compete" quote includes Dooku.

No ROTS character has a winning chance against Sidious, except Anakin and Yoda. Even Mace wasn't powerful enough to defeat him in a fair fight.

Except the quote was made when Lucas was talking about the office fight by which point Dooku was dead.

Lucas didn't use the quote in the present tense, and it was actually made in a general sense:

"You have to be either Mace or Yoda to compete with the Emperor," Lucas says. "If Anakin hadn't got all beat up, he could've beat the Emperor."

It's referring to both the present and future tense, as well as a conditional clause, implying other factors that could allow a character to beat Sidious. It's a general statement of fact. If Lucas had felt like Dooku could compete, he would have mentioned it, e.g. "if Dooku hadn't died, he also could have competed with the Emperor." He didn't, so he quite clearly never intended for Dooku to be a peer of ROTS Sidious.

Why would an ally of Sheev be included in the quote?

Probably for the same reason post-fall Anakin - an ally of Sheev's - was included.

Vader one-shots Dooku and beats Mace.

Mace can solo. Physically comparable and mentally superior. While I normally favor youth over experience in attrition wars I think Anakin is more likely to break down mentally before Mace does physically if it comes down to a Mustafar marathon. As a team Mace can tie Anakin up while Dooku fries him with lightning.
