Even as chained, Vaylin could break free of Valkorion's Force grip. This Valkorion was stronger than the one who could kill hundreds of beings and destroy their vehicles with just the unfocused energy from his Force storm. To put this in perspective, she could also dominate chapter 3 Outlander, who at this point was > the KOTFE Arcann who held his own against this lightning until Valk went all-out and barbecued the Outlander. 

She then grew infinitely more powerful than this when she broke her conditioning and unleashed her full power, to the point that she could one-shot KOTET Arcann (who could match her chained self), spirit Valkorion, and Senya, and even stagger (and be confirmed to be superior to) chapter 8 Outlander.
