Vader stomps. Far more skilled, comparable physicals, and far more powerful.

His equality to Starkiller, even if you want to argue he is below him. Savage wouldn't put up much of a fight against StarkillerDC77 (Reborn) wrote:The Witness wrote:Vader and its a stomp

Vader doesn't have equality with Starkiller. He got stomped in their first fight and lost in their second when Starkiller was exhausted.

Savage. Bad matchup. I know everyone pretends size and styles don't matter but believe me they do. What you need to beat Savage is speed, agility, evasiveness, and sustained aggression, Vader has none of that. He's not big enough to match Savage head-to-head and he isn't elusive enough to frustrate him.

Vader is just as strong, if not stronger. He's also much more powerful even at this point, and much more skilled. Savage isn't beating him.

That doesn't mean you can't change the minds of the people reading the discussion. DC is pretty on the fence rn, and you not responding looks bad. And maybe I could be convinced (Vader is one of my favourite characters after all) if you actually made a convincing argument.

Vader is vastly stronger and more durable than Savage and exceptionally faster and skilled compared to him. Savage's brute strength makes him win. Against a stronger foe he has no chance.

Evidence for Vader being just as strong? Cause that's a pretty bold claim. Savage has tossed two high caliber Force-sensitive humanoids with decent strength feats of their own like ragdolls even with zero leverage from down on the floor and both of them leaning on him with all their resisting strength.BreakofDawn wrote:Savage. And it's not just strength. Size is a huge advantage in a head-to-head contest, which is the type of battle Vader is always forced to fight do to his injuries. Heigh, reach, and leverage are all in Savage's favor and he's a very aggressive and relentless fighter who would give Vader more than a handful. Stamina too. Any expert will tell you it's very tiring for a small guy to fight a big man.
Savage can no-sell most physical strikes, the worst he's succumbed to is being moved back a few inches twice by an unusually aggressive Kenbobi two times, after first no-selling his first few without issue. Vader has been floored by kicks from Luke.
Prime Vader is more skilled but Vader lacks the athletic ability to exploit his superior skill in any meaningful way, unlike Kenobi. His style is all wrong for Savage. Even prime Anakin would have difficulty with Savage with his typical come forward approach though he's agile enough he could modify his ususal approach much as Kenobi did when likewise his usual defensive style didn't work on Savage, but Vader is too limited.

I assume you mean Anakin and Obi-Wan? Savage was using Force rage at the time.
As for Vader's physical feats, he has feats such as shattering pillars, punching dents in durasteel tables, nearly disarming Galen with a single blow, ripped doors from starships, sent a Jedi flying with a pommel strike, effortlessly crushed a Jedi master's neck, crushed a stormtrooper's head through their helmet (cracking the helmet in the process) while they stood behind him, was described as being stronger than a dozen stormtroopers, kicking an assassin several metres while toying with him, threw a medical droid across a laboratory while injured, and so on.
Savage and Vader are around the same size. Savage is listed at 2.18m while Vader is 2.02m. Savage is also 145 kg while Vader is 136 kg.And it's not just strength. Size is a huge advantage in a head-to-head contest, which is the type of battle Vader is always forced to fight do to his injuries.

Except Vader isn't that much smaller, not lighter, and he's certainly not much weaker (if at all).
Lucky that Vader has his lightsaber, then.

While off-balance and while Luke was rage amped.
Prime Vader is more skilled but Vader lacks the athletic ability to exploit his superior skill in any meaningful way, unlike Kenobi. His style is all wrong for Savage. Based on what? Savage isn't faster or more athletic. His form revolves around physically overpowering his opponents. Look what happened when he tried to do this to a comparably strong Force user who was much more skilled:
https://youtu.be/UH7SOBaGY8E?t=135
Vader even at this point is more skilled than Maul, more powerful, and physically stronger. While not as fast as Maul, he has the other aforementioned advantages to give him the win.
