Imagine unironically thinking the guy who TK'd hundreds of ISD's (While weakened) and disabled the biggest fleet in the history with a single burst of lightning loses to any incarnation of Valkorion.

It wasn't hundreds. That fleet was ten thousand times the size of the First Order. And Sheev lifted it in a weakened state.

He didn't lift it.

He raises his hands and the next scene is the fleet rising from the ice. The obvious implication is that he lifted it.

No. He opens his hands, bolts of lightning run through his fingers, then it cuts to the fully activated ships rising from the water. Even the engines are activated, and since we know ships in TROS can rise up when activated...Azronger wrote:He raises his hands and the next scene is the fleet rising from the ice. What makes you say that it was ten thousand times the size of the first order fleet?Azronger wrote:DC77 (Reborn) wrote:Imagine unironically thinking the guy who TK'd hundreds of ISD's (While weakened) and disabled the biggest fleet in the history with a single burst of lightning loses to any incarnation of Valkorion.

It's redundant anyway since he didn't lift it, lol.Blade_of_Dorin wrote:What makes you say that it was ten thousand times the size of the first order fleet?Azronger wrote:DC77 (Reborn) wrote:Imagine unironically thinking the guy who TK'd hundreds of ISD's (While weakened) and disabled the biggest fleet in the history with a single burst of lightning loses to any incarnation of Valkorion.

Stops hard at even novel!Vitiate, tbh. He didn't lift that fleet and pre-ZiostDrain!Tenebrae is probably only equal to novel!Vitiate by that point. Decimating a planet beats a storm that disables a fleet, and Tenebrae in KOTFE does that anyway.

Tenebrae in KOTFE disabling a few Eternal Empire ships = Palpatine disabling the entire Resistance fleet (pretty much the largest fleet in SW)? You never cease to amaze AP.

When did Tenebrae disable EE ships? Anyway, a massively weakened Valkorion wiped out hundreds of people, including ships, with his Force lightning when fighting Arcann.

What are you talking about? It wasn't 'a few' Eternal Empire ships. He fried an entire fleet of shielded freighters with the excess of the lightning that he launched at Arcann. The casualties are at least in the hundreds. The amount of damage done amazed SCORPIO who has witnessed immense destruction from the attacks of Darth Jadus on entire Imperial cities.

And if anyone's curious about Valkorion's feat:
Asylum casualty report
It is difficult to ascertain precise numbers. As a shadow port, Asylum didn't have a government that cared about up-to-date population records. But SCORPIO kept a tally of deaths she witnessed, and we're looking at casualties in the thousands. That's not including the hundreds caught in Valkorion's blast outside the Control Spar. While not Ziost-level numbers, I hope the internal damage you suffered will caution you from using his power in the future. The cost is too great. I didn't wake you up so that Valkorion could finish the job the carbon poisoning started. Whatever he tells you, don't forget that Valkorion is the threat that we set out to destroy. He's a master manipulator who has been pulling strings for centuries. You cannot trust him.
The excess lightning from a massively weakened Valkorion's attack did this, and he wasn't even aiming at them. Hell, it didn't just disable the ships, it killed the occupants too.

@LadyKulvax
Apologies, I misremembered. Regardless it doesn't compare to Sheev's feat, the fleet he was zapping was much bigger.

The point is, this is only spirit!Vitiate in a host that can't handle his power. Better yet, this is only the excess of the lightning that Arcann is tanking the majority of. The prime incarnation would be pulling off something far more impressive, given he's karking up an entire planet, from orbit to the outer core in Ziost in a magnitudes weaker state.

I agree I'm just saying it's not comparable to Sheev's feat and saying "oh but he could do a more impressive version of this" is very vague and doesn't lead me to believe he could replicate Sheev's feat. I require more quantification than that.

Re: RoS Palpatine runs a Vitiate Gauntlet

The quantification being that he wasn't attempting to take out a fleet of ships, he was attempting to take out Arcann. The lightning wrecking that fleet was just a side-effect. The full force of that same lightning would've caused far more damage if it was aimed directly at the fleet without Arcann to massively mitigate it.
But again, neither of those feats compares to Ziost anyway. Given it wasn't just surface level destruction but it karked up literally the entire planet.

And that quantifies it how exactly? Would directing his full power at the ships allow him to take out double the amount? Triple the amount? Would it allow him to replicate Sheev's feat? Once again, vaguely stating "oh he can do a sh*t ton better than this" is very vague and unspecific.

It gives you a general idea of the scope he should be capable of. The Dread Masters disabled a pair of fleets and dominated the HoT on Denova and shut down the entire senate building on Coruscant, whilst resurrecting Kephess from across the galaxy on Oricon. Yet they're literally insignificant next to Revan, nevermind the Emperor.
You can see why I don't find this beyond Tenebrae at all.
