Vitiate runs the gauntlet
September 18th 2019, 7:26 am
Most of the conversation about Valkorion vs. Sidious is about Valkorion, not SWTOR Vitiate, sooo...
Full knowledge/recovery, Force only, (but lightsaber can be used defensively) combatants are on different raised pods in the Senate Rotunda
1. Ventress
2. Maul
3. Dooku
4. Vjun Dooku
5. Darth Plagueis
6. EoTPM Sidious
7. RotS Sidious
8. TFU Sidious
9. RotJ Sidious
10. DE Sidious
11. Luke Skywalker

Probably 7. Not sure how much more powerful TFU is than ROTS, if at all.

He should definitely be more powerful. His draining of Byss and knowledge he gained from whatever was pilgramiged from the Jedi Temple dictates growth, albeit, of unknown preportion.

SWTOR vitiate dies at 5 (most likely) .
valkorion could die at 8-9
hard stop at 10

Valk falls to 10, Vitiate falls to 8 or 9.

I don't see SWTOR Vitiate getting past 7 or 8. Sidious' armada of "most powerful" quotes aside, Vitiate's not nearly powerful enough to compensate for the evident discrepancy in combat prowess. His aptitude for making retarded tactical decisions against similarly powerful opponents has cost him the fight before, and it very likely will here.

This is probably what I would say tbh.DC77 (Reborn) wrote:Valk falls at 8. Vitiate dies at 6.

Maybe not actually lol. Depends on how much Sidious grew between TPM and RotS for me.

Down at 5, maybe 4 if he really screws up. Novel blurb, unbalancing and midichlorian manipulation.

I would say he stops at Vjun Dooku, considering the latter proved a challenge to Yoda.

He's done at Plagueis for sure. Vitiate's at best roughly as powerful, but his inferior skill and hax guarantees his loss.

Hard stop at 5, even if it is Valkorion.

The difference in feats and portrayed power is too great for 1-3 to realistically challenge Vitiate.
Vjun Dooku gets interesting since he did strain Yoda, but that was pretty conditional - Yoda was hindered by the nexus too, reluctant to kill his former apprentice, and distracted for major parts of the fight (and Dooku still fled). That was also not a pure Force battle - in one, I don't think Dooku could've challenged Yoda, and certainly not RotS Sidious with his deadlier offensive Force powers, so I don't think it's a sufficient case to say that he could defeat Vitiate.
I think Plagueis defeats him, all things considered. He has an accolade putting him above Vitiate, albeit from a publisher's blurb, the unbalancing feat, and midichlorian manipulation. If Vitiate manages to pull a win due to his sorcery beating Plagueis's haxx or a higher interpretation of his power relative to Plagueis's, he falls at RotS Sidious.
