Maul can't ragdoll Mace. Ever. Even the wounded, weakened and exhausted Mace who fought Kar wouldn't be in Maul's ragdoll margin.

Which I agree but Orbalisk's a huge advantage against someone who has limited offensive abilities such as Mace.

Depends if he's morals off or not. I can see Mace attacking him at the joints considering that's how he fought against Kar in Shatterpoint, which IIRC orbalisk armour doesn't cover.

Mace has a better chance than most in exploiting the gaps in the armor in a first-time encounter via shatterpoint. Mace has a chance but I favor Maul for a majority.

On another note, would shatterpoint attacks work on the Orbalisks?

AOTC era mace is considered to be weaker than AOTC era dooku, and is often compared to jedi dooku. i would say that he is certainly stronger than jedi dooku imo, but honestly, SOD maul is pretty much late TCW obi wan kenobi if he trained on how to properly kill jedi, who then took the strongest drug out there, which gave him a constant amp, and super durability. mace cant win this. hell, i can honestly say that this maul right here is likely a threat to TPM sheev, maybe even stronger.

Maybe he could try something creative like use the Force to kill the parasite within the shell. That would release the lethal chemical compounds that would put the host into shock.

Not sure if Mace would think to do that in a first-time encounter with no prep or knowledge but it's a theoretical means.

Doesn't he require more offensive Force abilities for that such as lightning?
