Revan versus Darth Sion
November 23rd 2019, 10:40 pm
- Revan as of SoR
- Sion as of KOTOR II
- Both are armed with a single saber
- Morals off
- Sion's regenerating abilities are allowed
Both combatants engage in a fight, which one of them can last longer? Is Revan too powerful for Sion to deal with or can Revan break Sion's will to live?

Revan can probably telekinetically rip Sion's body apart.

Well, Nihilus' ship-shaking energies couldn't, though it's not wholly clear if he wanted to kill Sion there. I think it's possible that Sion is absurdly powerful but he devotes almost all that power to holding his body together -- I think I've seen a few quotes that also suggest that as well.

No way Sion even remotely compares

Sion gets atomised then kills Revan when some of the dust from his corpse gets into his body.
- Spoiler:
- But yeah, Revan atomises him.

Sion was killed multiple times by nameless (presumably fodder) Jedi for decades. His only saving grace is that his hatred is so strong that he can will himself back. Combatively though, he's absolute garbage.
Revan glances in his general direction and Sion turns to ash.

They killed him because he wanted to die, the idea he's combatively garbage is out-dated cancer.

No, he only wanted to die during his final duel with Meetra Surik. He has been getting killed for decades, his only saving grace being his will to live. Other than that he is fodder, just like the Jedi that killed him over and over.LadyKulvax wrote:They killed him because he wanted to die, the idea he's combatively garbage is out-dated cancer.

If you have a source that supports this, I'd be happy to change my mind. Until you can conjure said source though, Sion will remain fodder.LadyKulvax wrote:They killed him because he wanted to die, the idea he's combatively garbage is out-dated cancer.

KOTOR:CG wrote:As a marauder for the Sith Empire during the Great Sith War, Sion flings himself at the Jedi, seeking death, but instead, he finds the opposite. Regularly surviving the frontline pandemonium, Sion acquires a pain tolerance that convinces him of his immortality. Inevitably, probability has its day and Sion is struck down.

lmao.
"Seeking death" and allowing himself to die aren't one and the same, as you seem to be suggesting.

I said he wanted to die, which is what seeking death means.

He also wanted to stop Meetra getting past him and was doing everything in his power to stop her.

Indeed. Kill her to save her, the absolute worst trope ever but nevermind.

Seems like you're walking back.
Your initial stance was as follows:
They killed him because he wanted to die, the idea he's combatively garbage is out-dated cancer.
That Sion fell because he wanted to, i.e, he allowed himself to be struck down in an effort to achieve permanent death, was your original stance. "They killed him because he wanted to die" implies he died because they let him kill them, which really isn't supported anywhere, even in the same quote you're using.
If he wanted to achieve permanent death, he'd have let go of his hate. He knew how to, he just didn't want to until Meetra convinced him to do so. He was killed by these Jedi because he was inferior to them.
And as he locks eyes with his attacker, Sion lets all of his anger for being killed - all the hatred clotting his heart - explode.
The same quote you provided also states he was angered at having been killed, as seen above.
Sion is combatively garbage that has been killed numerous times by fodder Jedi.

In summary, Sion is about as indefensible as a Force user as Cin Drallig.

Sion is an 'ultra-powerful Sith Lord', 'feared lightsaber assassin' who could one-shot mid-game Surik and defeat Lonna Vash who scales from SF!Bastila. He's also above Visas Marr who is stated to be able to butcher a small army of Sith with Force lightning and defeated three massively-amped Sith Lords in the tomb of Freedon Nadd.
Did I mention he just walks off a Force wave from an enraged Darth Nihilus which buckled bridge supports and disintegrated Sith at the same time?
You seem to be determined to portray him as trash when GSW!Sion and Darth Sion are decades apart from each other.

Where you seeing multiple times Sion was killed? The quote only suggests at best once, before that it seems it just seemed like he was racking up injuries until one day he was struck down. In fact, it's noted that he struck down multiple Jedi.
