Tano.
Her parity with Vader places her in a higher niche, imo.

Honestly yeah, for whatever weird state of flux legends Vader is for me, I don't really get the impression that in Canon Vader is beneath Dooku. And with that in mind Ahsoka's performance against Vader simply impresses me more than the extent to which Ventress was kicked around by Dooku.

I thought rebels wasn't permitted? Anyway:

Ahsoka also has parity to a more powerful version of a dude whose dragged big freighters down and has contended with vader and driven back maul on a nexus. A way pre prime Ahsoka was holding her own with grevious while he was still an even match for a kenobi who we've seen do well against maul. Like it or not, we'll probably going to get something impressive happening against maul in his physical prime.
Ventress really isn't on the level here.

Umm, no. We are two completly different people. His DC stands for Darth Caedus, IIRC -- mine stood for Detective Comics.

He's in a weird state of flux for me, an uncertainty, a question mark, I don't know. I don't see him above Dooku in Legends at this point, and yet some of the more autistic shit about him being beneath TPM Kenobi is definitely something I don't buy.LSDMB wrote:weird state of flux legends Vader is for me

Yeah, because Vader has done something even remotely comparable to (1) challenging Yoda in a duel and doing pretty well (2) fighting off CW Mace and Kenobi simultaneously (3) being capable of stomping TPM Mace Windu.
Oh yeah, remember that time Vader was getting a good fight from ESB Luke?

What's the source for Malachor being a nexus?
AFAIK the only planets confirmed to be a DS nexus in canon are Mustafar and Dathomir.

A Rebels producer explained that the Inquisitors’ ability to fly with their lightsabers on Malachor was a result of the planet being strong with the dark side, or something along those lines. I’ll try to find the quote/source later today, but as far as I know, that’s the only source for the claim that Malachor is a nexus—other than common sense deduction.
Edit: "There's an A answer and there's a B answer. The A answer is usually my go-to easiest answer which is that you have to ask Dave Filoni. The B answer I would say is a longer mythological discussion and it relates specifically to Malachor, and how it is the home of this Sith Temple." —Henry Gilroy (credit to Beniboybling) (source)

Though tbh I was hoping for definitive quotes referring to Malachor as a "focal point/locus of dark side energies" similar to Mustafar or that it influences darksiders aside from their ability to fly.
It's also worth nothing that Hidalgo states the Inquisitors' lightsaber had repulsorlifts in them (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob90p0SoMpY&t=5m10s) which is also confirmed by the Visual Encyclopedia (I'll post the scan later as I don't have the book with me atm )

There's simply no proof that Malachor was a potent darkside nexus that "amped Vader and hindered Ahsoka". That kind of stuff doesn't exist in canon anyway. And even if it does exist, The Inquisitors would be putting up much better fights against the Rebels than they usually would.King Joker wrote:DoA wrote:What's the source for Malachor being a nexus?
