I want to here the rationalisation for why Malgus is ~> The Voice of The Emperor before I make any arguments in Cade's favour.

I don't think he is. I do however think he scales massively above act 3 HoT, whose feats include resisting the combined mental assault of the Dread Masters, defeating a weakened Voice who could collapse the Dark Temple while on the brink of death and blast back the HoT, etc. I haven't seen feats or scaling from Cade to match him in either lightsaber skill or raw power.

Why?

Because it took a strike team of four protagonists (including the HoT) to beat him, and even then he could bring them to their knees with lightning and even by the end of the fight they defeated him by exploiting his doubt and wavering resolve. He then grew considerably more powerful on top of that.

The fact that the 4 protagonists fought Malgus together doesn't mean they were all required to beat him - it's totally plausible the Hero could defeat Malgus alone. Within the fight itself, he does nothing that indicates superiority to the individual members - landing in a Force Lightning Blast and shoving them across the room does not prove superiority, as his attacks did absolutely nothing to permanently affect them - despite duelling with them on a DS nexus after they'd just fought through an army. Why don't you do me a favour and:

(1) Quantify the power of the nexus.
(2) Quantify how much energy the team expended fighting through Malgus's forces.

...and then we can talk about Malgus scaling to the HoT at all, let alone being "massively" above him.

He then grew considerably more powerful on top of that.

Btw, I'll write out something on Cade's feats during the weekend (perhaps), as I've got a shit ton of work that needs to get done this week.
