Bonus round: Vader fights AotC Kenobi.

Just like nearly every the other non-lightning Force battles an impass. Maul needed an opening to floor Kenobi and couldn’t dislodge him from the nub. I don’t see even what I perceive to be the best version of Vader having much more success or vise versa.

Maul exploited a lapse in Kenobi's Force defenses during a lightsaber duel because Kenobi focused so much on mounting an unusually aggressive offense that it left him vulnerable to getting Force pushed, Juyo for instance has even criticized for this because its overemphasis on offense. And all what Maul did was deliver a mere Force push to make Obi-Wan tumble. This is Force only, so we can't translate this to this setting.
