Let's be fair. Trolling aside, Maul did fairly quickly disarm her, was overpowering her in a blade lock, and could send her flying with a kick when she could only stagger him.

To be fair Maul wanted Ahsoka to join him. So he may have been holding back. We'll have to wait for Filoni on this

There's no reason for him to hold back in this portion of the fight when Ahsoka refuses his offer.

True, but Maul has a habit of becoming overconfident and jobbing when he thinks he's about to win. Exactly, and this is why I'm genuinely not a fan of Canon Maul. Seems like the writers can't figure out ways for him to lose a fight other than he is "arrogant" and "overconfident". I mean fair, if the story calls for Maul to lose a fight but they can't just keep pulling the same card again and again. It just makes Maul lame for not learning from his mistakes.
But then again that might be the point of his character?

TCW has turned Maul into a moustache twirly villain who never learns from his arrogance, it's pretty tiresome at this point.

Overall I liked the fight. There was the moment where Ahsoka kicks him over her which was stupid however they did have him disarm here several times even when they were on uneven footing.
Still, the end of the fight was disappointing and gave Maul another silly moment Rebels style.

Say what you will about how the fight played out(even though it's hardly a surprise with Filoni at the helm), but the motion capture they used to choreograph the fight sequence still delivered what is, imo, the best looking battle of the series. Absolutely stunning.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Maul's dialogue here, along with some of his casual displays of power(like gesturing away the blaster fire.)

The fight choreography was incredible. I love that they got Ray Park to do mo-cap so it looked so smooth and natural compared to most fights. Maul's dialogue was phenomenal and Witwer's voice acting was brilliant...but that ending was just Filoni being a fanboy again.

Ahsoka was wanked but let's not be immature and shit on Maul because of raisins. We have already got Filoni for that. Maul disarmed her pretty quickly once he was told that he had to hurry and go. Don't know why in the end he didn't just force pushed ahsoka down

Or sever the part of the beam she was standing on, which would have been smart.
