I feel like Jaina has been underrated for way too long by members of the forum, myself included. The premise is based on the idea that Jaina has no good feats (which is wrong) and her sole accolade is worthless as it is a simple hyperbole, not meant to be taken seriously. I beg to differ, especially after recent discussions I’ve had with Goat on discord. He brought to my attention the German version of the quote:
The most literal translation is that “[Jaina] can contend with any jedi in the order” which given the context (Jaina is literally given the rank of master a few lines later and has a previous statement about her being the sword of the Jedi while Luke isn’t ) likely refers to the idea that no matter how good one is Jaina can compete with him. The use of the expression “she had proven time and time again” means that Jaina has proven said skill, further confirming the likelihood of the quote not being an hyperbole. It could have been referring to feats happened off screen, or to the feat in ascension, in which Jaina and Luke defeated several sith sabers (later noted as some of the best by Gavar Khai) on an extremely potent dark side Nexus, powerful enough to turn Kyle Katarn to the dark side, and note that they were in the temple, the area in which the dark side is at its strongest.
Overall, all indications are that Jaina is at least comparable and likely above to the best jedi of the era (Katarn, Kyp, Saba...) As an overall combatant and possibly not far off from Luke, considering he was in the order at the time of the quote. given comparisons with Caedus one may argue Jaina the quote might not be valid although I do think that, with Jaina’s potential, the idea of a significant power growth between LOTF and FOTJ is not unlikely. All of this is made even interesting when one considers that Jaina grew even further from Apocalypse to Crucible, which is her prime in legends.

- Spoiler:
Luke and Jaina were fighting back-to-back. The Sith attacking them had two advantages. One was the fact that they outnumbered the two Jedi. The second was that they were being reinforced by the emanations of the dark side nexus within the temple. It surged forth like psychic sewage, clogging the Jedi's reflexes as it fueled their enemies.
...
He felt Jaina in the Force, strong and calm, her back to him but not quite touching his. Bonded by blood and the Force itself, they performed a duet of death tot he half dozen Sith pressing in for the attack. They leapt and swung, ducked and kicked in such swift, perfect harmony that an observer might have thought their moves had been choreographed. More than once, an overly confident Saber charged, only to end up slashing at his fellow Sith. In short order two were on the ground, and the odds were now a mere two to one.
Luke could hear the sizzle of lightsabers clashing behind him, only centimeters away, and then the acrid stench of burned flesh and Jaina's blade struck home.
...
Lost in that piercing gaze, Ben heard, as if from a great distance, the sound of lightsabers being extinguished and he knew that his father and Jaina had won their fights.Source: Fate of the Jedi: Ascension

Bump so more can see Cilghal's case because once again it was buried in the sea of spam from an autist who thinks bumping a several-month-old thread to say "idk" is a valuable contribution to the forum.

2. Don't call me an autist that is fairly rude.
3. I am merely commenting on battles that I missed due to being relatively new to the forum. It isn't against the terms and conditions so I don't see why you're being such a ***** about it

Alright, to be frank here, it’s kinda annoying ngl. People usually leave these threads to rot after a while.

@EmperorCaedus
That doesn't change the fact that it still happened, and to be quite frankly honest, your other comments aren't much better.
Apologies, I sometimes let my temper get the better of me.
Except these threads have died and despite bumping them you are contributing absolutely nothing. I wouldn't mind if you bumped these threads to spark discussion by providing reasons or challenging someone's opinion but you're not doing that. You're burying new threads, where cases have been made, and people want to see the general consensus amidst a sea of absolutely useless one-liners, and then wondering why people are pissed off.
