Vaapad Mace = Sidious > Vitiate in power. Mace >>>>>>>>>>>>> Vitiate in skill and tactics.

SWTOR Vitiate pretty obviously wins, at the height of his power without dispersing it against the Dread Masters and Vaylin, or even distracting himself with maintaining eyes on his Imperial Guard, etc. Yeah, Vitiate at this point is pretty far beyond ROTS Sheev where novel Vitiate was decently close. Don't forget that SWTOR Vitiate scales above his weaker spirit as it doomwaved Ziost, prior to that doomwave feeding him the death and uber amping him.

The drain isn't combat applicable, just as Sidious causing violent storms on Vjun with his holographic presence and weakening 10,000 Jedi knights' abilities to use the Force isn't combat applicable. It took him time, resources and energy.

Uh, Sidious's holographic presence causing storms on a planet that is literally halfway across the galaxy is definitely applicable. I highly doubt sheev before turning on his holoconnection told himself "I need to make sparks and lights so that Dooku and everyone outside of Cheateu De Malreux sees it and fears me." That was literally just a casual by-product of his phone call with Dooku.

The drain wasn't the doomwave, the drained happened as a result of the doomwave.

Well, to be fair, there's nothing explicitly linking those lightning storms to Sidious's Force abilities. It could just be the pathetic fallacy signaling the arrival of the big bad.
