Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious VS. Luke Skywalker

Same gist as with the Valkorion vs. Sidious thread. Potential starting points:
- Sheev during Part 1 of Darth Plagueis, at 17 years of age.
- Darth Sidious during Part 2 of Darth Plagueis, at 29 years of age.
- Darth Sidious during The Phantom Menace, prior to killing his Master.
- Darth Sidious during Revenge of the Sith.
- Emperor Palpatine during The Force Unleashed.
- Emperor Palpatine during Return of the Jedi.
- The Reborn Emperor during the end of Dark Empire.
VS
- Luke Skywalker during A New Hope
- Luke Skywalker during The Empire Strikes Back
- Luke Skywalker during Return of the Jedi
- Luke Skywalker during Dark Empire II
- Luke Skywalker during The Black Fleet Crisis: Tyrant's Test
- Luke Skywalker during The New Jedi Order: The Unifying Force

1. Palpatine wins. luke’s Training at this point was almost nonexistent.
2. Palpatine again , Luke wasn’t a council tier combatant at this point
3. Palpatine comes out on top in a very close fight
4. Luke wins decisively based on his accolades, which place him as Yoda’s superior.
5. Luke again for pretty much the same reasons
6. Luke again based on the various statements he has in the book of him having incredible power. He could lose if he holds back too much, though.
7. Luke wins in a good fight, and doesn’t stomp only because of his tendency to hold back.
This is generally my opinion, although i’m sure about some of the matchups.

FotJ Luke stomp any iteration of Sidious (if he goes in an all out. If he just goes like every time in the novel he just win)

With morals on there is the possibility Luke’s tendency to hold back may be turned against him. Overall, i’d say he takes a majority but he will have to put serious effort into winning the fight.

I'm not sure if you want to have no duplicate threads at all even after time lapses, given that discussion can be discouraged if everything has to pile up into massive threads. Anyway, ranking them:
Luke Skywalker during Fate of the Jedi
Luke Skywalker during The New Jedi Order: The Unifying Force - it's tough to gauge exactly when he surpasses DE Sidious, but at this point he taps into his power to a level beyond EoDE, and by EoDE he was already able to beat DE Sidious conventionally with some help from Leia - I think it's reasonable to say that an unleashed Luke after a long period of power growth has made up for the difference of Leia's help + Sidious's other Force abilities
The Reborn Emperor during the end of Dark Empire - I think his Force storms and overall mastery would put him above baseline DE Luke, and possibly BFC Luke, though it's tough to say with the latter
Luke Skywalker during The Black Fleet Crisis: Tyrant's Test
Luke Skywalker during Dark Empire II - He needed some help from a barely trained Leia to beat DE Sidious conventionally, though I'm placing this here based on him fighting at his absolute best rather than jobbing
Emperor Palpatine during Return of the Jedi
Emperor Palpatine during The Force Unleashed
Darth Sidious during Revenge of the Sith.
Darth Sidious during The Phantom Menace, prior to killing his Master. - is a peer of Plagueis, who has feats and scaling beyond RotJ Luke

Luke Skywalker during The Empire Strikes Back - he had enough training to threaten ESB Vader, while 17 year old Palpatine was basically a novice
