Tenebrous scaling is non legit, but why it matters regardless I'm not sure. Caedus breaks Tenebrous's face open like an egg as well.

The case is simple. Caedus matched Luke amped Jaina, who's superior to the iteration of Luke that blitzed Inferno Jacen, after his sacrificial power up upon killing Mara. Jacen prior to this boost is superior to the same iteration of Kyp that shifted a Dovin Basal, and has a long list of other environmental feats far eclipsing those of Malak, or anyone he scales from. If we're looking at saber accolades, as of Inferno (Where he's fodder to Rage!Luke) Jacen muses he might be the second greatest duellist to ever live. While I don't think this is likely to be the case or even close, it speaks to Jacen's opinion of his skills, and the author's of LOTF have clarified Jacen's faith in those abilities isn't misplaced, which lends credibility to the idea of Jacen far eclipsing Malak in this field.
