It's not just that. Given that Sheev's body appears to be his original one, and as there's genuinely no explanation in the film as to how he survived, we can only assume he physically tanked the Death Star explosion. Yet he dies from his own lightning.

So the scaling goes: Rey with two sabers > Rey with one saber = Sheev's lightning > Death Star-destroying explosion

Or he teleported out of there. Probably a more logical explanation.

That or Maz scavenged him up like she did little orphan Ani's lightsaber.

Well he does say that he has died before so I'm not so sure about the whole tanking the Death Star thing.

Right, I hadn't seen that yet.

Here's the movie opening where Kylo meets Sheev, Snoke's origins are explained, and Sheev seemingly TK's a fleet... all within 6 minutes of the film starting. And the opening crawl reads like bad fanfiction.

It appears Essence Transfer is a thing and Palpatine possessed Snoke, but I am not sure (and haven't seen the movie)

I've seen and read enough. Not paying to watch it in theaters

I'm conflicted. I wanted to see it but this plot made me cringe so hard I think I've broken something.
