There's no way Nyax was on par with Luke in terms of sabers. Nyax was extremely powerful, but it doesn't require skill.

Nyax doesn't have any skill. He can't even talk. His size, lightsabers, technology, armor, etc. just renders him nigh-impossible to conventionally kill.

So he's basically me when I'm hungover. Wonderful.

In that case, I still back Luke but solely because he has the edge in augmentation and power, not in skill.

The hell? You know as well as I do that the two were stalemating in the Force battle until the explosion happened (in the film) or Sidious landed a shot on Yoda in midair (in the novel) that ended with both of them being exhausted to the point that both were barely standing. Those quotes were referring to his inability to beat Sidious in the Force, not that he couldn't stalemate and (especially) not that he couldn't beat him in sabers.
