Scourge says, "In your absence, I've received guidance from an... old ally." It seems very likely that he's referring to Revan's spirit here. Who else is both an old ally of Scourge and has unique insight into Vitiate? If true, that's a cool way to "vindicate" Revan's story line. Revan informed Scourge about Vitiate's top-secret fail-safe, then (apparently) coordinated the destruction of Vitiate's original body with the Outlander purging Vitiate's essence from his mind.

Haven’t they stabbed Revan to death enough already

Could also be Meetra. I'd much rather have her back than Revan.
