Why was Yoda trolling Luke when they first met?

I always figured it was a test of Luke's patience and discipline. Sort of an "I told you so" to Ben about Luke not being ready to train. If Luke was losing his patience so quickly over a senile old frogman, how likely would it be that Luke would have the patience for proper Jedi training? As we see with Luke's decision to abandon his training early, it's pretty clear Yoda was right to test him, and correct about Luke not truly being ready to be trained.

Testing Luke's discipline and patience. A Jedi needs patience more than anything, and Luke quickly lost his. It's why Ben had to step in and say "hold on he'll become patient you 900 year old goblin, stop judging."
