Kaan acknowledges he's not as good a swordsman as Kas'im and he can't bend him to his will unwillingly. He's no match for Bane in the Force and Kas'im can resist Bane's Force attacks, so Kaan can't beat him with the Force either. Seems pretty clear cut to me.
