Re: SoR Revan vs Yoda

Has anyone ever provided a justification for why SoR Revan failed to kill a single strike team member or was he just not capable of killing anyone?
At the start of the fight, Revan unleashed Force lightning that instantly killed eight armored Republic and Imperial soldiers apart of the strike team:

Given Theron Shan, Jakarro, etc. should be far less armored than those soldiers, it's easy to posit some theories:
1. Satele Shan (who was in deep battle meditation) and Lana Beniko helped shield the non Force-sensitive from Revan's quick attacks.
2. After incapacitating and pinning them all to pillars, Revan opted to gradually drain the strike team (i.e. "Slowly being destroyed by Revan.") rather than immediately kill them and begin his ritual of resurrecting Vitiate, despite the coalition armies surrounding him. This suggests Revan planned to capture them alive to help trigger his ritual. The conditions -- standing in the center and drawing on the power of those in the surrounding circle -- even resembles other rituals Revan had created.

He didn't do anything even remotely close to death waving a planet as a spirit.YVH Cilghal wrote:Sidious did pretty much the same thing to ByssKingofBlades wrote:SoR revan scales above the ziost drain. Idk How that compares with Yodas duel with Sidious though.YVH Cilghal wrote:Yoda fighting equally with Palpatine impresses me more than anything Revan has done, not to mention that he gets some insane scaling from Plagueis. So I would say he wins solidly.

Draining the population of Byss gradually at the height of your power with aid doesn't start to touch Ziost.

IIRC he literally starts right after the clone wars ends. During Evasive Action web comic. LOL

You don't seem to get the point, at all.

Yeah I think I get the point, but when you say height of his power, I felt the need to correct you.
Don't respond if you don't understand the point someone else is making

I said height of his power, not his prime. I.E. not in a weakened state.
The Ziost feat is just so far beyond what the Sheevites can argue against, it's funny how much of the circumstances get glossed over.

Yoda in a good to great fight, mainly due to Revan's durability. However, Yoda is powerful enough that he will eventually win, though both Revan's willpower and raw power will make this a very tough fight for him.

Revan wins, good fight. Yoda isn't pulling what Revan did on Yavin IV.

Yoda still wins. Revan's durability isn't going to protect him from being dismembered or decapitated, and Yoda is more powerful.
