Any impressive High Republic characters?

As someone who has not gotten his hands on any HR literature (yet), has there been stand out or debate worthy characters?

A few of the characters have come off as pretty impressive, yes -- namely Avar Kriss, Vernestra, and Porter Engle.
But I wouldn't say they are debate worthy just yet, as we still have yet to see the depths of their powers.

Quantifiably? No... Not yet, at least.Vaelias wrote:is there anyone that is > Yoda yet ?
Porter Engle's swordsmanship was given some degree of [ambiguous] parity with that of Yoda, but the accolade in question is still fully open to interpretation/scrutiny, given that the students who made the claim likely had never seen Yoda go all-out in sabers.
We also know that Yoda was not the only Grandmaster of the Jedi Order during this period -- there were at least two others(ie. Grandmasters Veter and Lahru.) So it's entirely possible(though not confirmed) that they could be > Yoda. Only time will tell, though.
That said, if anyone were going to be wanked to Yoda+-levels in this event, my money would be on either Avar Kriss or Vernestra.
