And in that 1 year he obtained parity (or near parity) with his dad. You know, the guy that scares the ever lovin' crap out of the Inquisitors.

Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong.

The Marvel Star Wars 2015-2019 run, along with both Heir to the Jedi and Weapon of the Jedi, all clearly show that Luke trained constantly for the three years between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. His training was relatively intense compared to conventional Jedi training, and he even had multiple mentors.

We see in Weapon of the Jedi that Luke began training against up to three Jedi remotes at a time for literally hours on end without rest (a training feat we haven't seen demonstrated by any other character in Canon. Every other instance of training against remotes in Canon always shows the Jedi training against a singular remote, even when the Jedi has been practicing for years). The remotes are also explicitly said to drill Luke in the conventional forms of lightsaber combat via their patterns of fire. Not to mention C-3PO implies that he found murals which aided in Luke's lightsaber instruction (though the story doesn't elaborate much with the detail there). All of this happened within the first two months of A New Hope, and he's shown to continue training against those remotes in the 2015 Star Wars comic.

Luke also spent an unknown amount of time training under Sergeant Kreel, aka "The Gamemaster" on Nar Shaddaa, with most of his practice being against multiple Magnaguards at a time. While his initial fight against the Magnaguards on Nar Shaddaa was pretty lackluster, it's implied that he improved rapidly by training against them in the arena of Grakkus the Hutt, in preparation for a big gladiatorial match that the Hutt had been preparing to host. Luke would then go on to fight Kreel on four separate occassions, with his performance improving with each battle. While Sergeant Kreel may not be an Inquisitor, he's skilled enough with a lightsaber to dispatch four Magnaguards singlehandedly, a feat that most Jedi couldn't pull off with as much ease. Also, Kreel can reflect blaster fire with his lightsaber, despite not being a Force sensitive. This is a feat that has only been matched by Grievous and Karbin, both of whom relied on their cybernetic enhancements to pull off. Kreel is arguably the best unaugmented, non-Force sensitive combatant we've seen in Canon. And Luke has been consistently depicted being Kreel's equal or superior in their final duels.

And lastly, Luke spent at least a month training under Thane Marcone on Hubin. Thane Marcone himself was the son of a Jedi, whose mother seemingly taught him a great deal about the lightsaber (judging by his conversations with Luke, and a statement about Marcone's mother having taught him everything he knew). Marcone helped Luke improve his stances, hone his offensive capabilities, and learn the art of using a well-executed strategic retreat to secure victory.

All of this, coupled with the fact that Luke was fighting a constant war against the Empire, facing overwhelming numbers of adversaries with superior equipment and training, and it should go without saying that Luke's growth rate between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back was pretty insane. Look at how much Ezra grew between Seasons 1 and 3 of Rebels. Luke's growth should logically speaking have far exceeded Ezra's growth, given the same span of time. Luke has been consistently depicted going up against greater numbers of Stormtroopers in the Marvel run than what Ezra and Kanan had typically been depicted fleeing from.

Just because Luke didn't always have a direct mentor during those three years doesn't mean he wasn't improving. As Luke said when he was trying to convince Yoda to train him, he had already learned so much. Even before being trained by Yoda in Empire Strikes Back, he was well on his way to being a capable Jedi.

Now, with all of that said, this fight is a total mismatch. As someone above mentioned, either Luke or Kylo Ren could solo. If Rebels Maul could almost single-handedly force the three Inquisitors into a retreat, I see no reason to believe Luke or Kylo Ren, both roughly comparable to Darth Vader, shouldn't be able to outright stomp the trio.

A Vader who was far past his emotional prime. That said, even that Vader is ridiculously far beyond the Inquisitors.

Team 1 stomps. Luke carries, Kylo helps, Rey pulls some more BS from her backside and cleans up.

Jedi vs. Sith (2016) outright states that Luke's lightsaber skill and power in the Force were equal to Vader's as of RotJ. So yeah, he could undoubtedly solo.

Kylo doesn't have anything quite as explicit, but there are a certainly a few feats and accolades that potentially scale his power/skill in the same tier as Luke and Vader. Entirely possible that he could solo as well.

Let’s then take Luke before the Disney acquisition. Because I can't imagine that RotJ Luke could do something like this:

Any of the trio solo.
Nothing against the inqs team, they're just up against 3 of the top 10 canon mortal force users in their respective known primes.
