Post-Pool Taalon's performance against a much more stronger Luke seems more impressive to me.

Lumiya is probably one of the coolest extensions of Vader's legacy and cements him even in the future. Shira is one of those character's that is inherently bound to Vader even if she is her own woman, and she proves multiple times why she is Vader's apprentice. I had the most fun learning more about her in Legacy of the Force personally

All Taalon does is pull Luke out of his hiding place, taking him off-guard in the process, then blocks blaster fire with his hands. There’s no actual fight between them. When it comes to fighting however, he’s incapable of reliably overcoming Ben Skywalker, who in turn is significantly inferior to a barely talented jedi knight like Valin Horn, and all of this despite having Vestara Khai’s help. Of course, this has an explanation. The transformations Taalon was undergoing were leaving him terribly weakened, but this also means that peak Taalon’s power level, which he later achieves thanks to Abeloth’s help but never shows since Vestara stabs him, is unknown and completely unquantifiable.
