Why the pardon? The sentence isn't difficult to understand: Maul can overpower Galen in all rounds.

It wasn't the sentence, it was who was saying it. Don't you consider Galen's force feats at this time to be absolutely superior?

Actually an interesting one. I don't think that in terms of martial arts, Marek would be bringing much that Maul hadn't seen before. Though his style is layered and very well balanced, being adaptable for practically any situation or opponent, I don't think it would really allow him to do much more than contend against a warrior of Maul's caliber. Maul, however, I would say gets a slight edge here : the Teras Kasi foundation of his Juyo application is something that I don't believe Marek has been confronted with before.
In terms of Force abilities, while it is true that Maul's use of Alter abilities in combat is extremely rare, if he did get backed into a corner and decide to crack out the telekinesis, Marek's passive defences against such attacks have been shown to be almost laughably weak; with him only succeeding in repelling them when mounting an active defence. Though as I said, this is unlikely at best to come up against Maul, who always prefers to pursue a purely physical victory where possible. All the same, it's worth noting. As for Marek's own offensive capabilities, his scope, versatility and magnitude with TK could well give him an edge. His lightning however would likely be all but useless. His output with the ability isn't all that powerful, and Maul has been shown to shrug off blasts of similar magnitudes both in his training and later from the Nghsister Mighella. His trick of channeling his lightning down his blade might give him a brief advantage simply for it's unorthodox nature, but nothing more.
Ultimately, though after a probing offensive to get Maul's measure, Marek would likely try to put some distance between them and start cycling through his Force abilities to figure out which one to spam, I don't think anything in his arsenal is truly capable of disabling Maul. This is a battle between two absolute tanks; the absolute peak of Zabrak physical shape hardened by a lifetime of Sith torture and rigorous training, and a rebuilt superhuman. Neither of them is going to be beaten into submission; both of them would take a killing blow to be disabled. And while it's possible that Marek could blindside Maul with some telekinetic attack, I think the most likely outcome would be that Maul would simply not allow Marek to break off consistently in that way. Endlessly pursuing the physical contest and leading the duel, controlling the location actively, his flawless form would elegantly and efficiently dismantle Marek's defenses, cutting him down with a single disabling blow, much like with Jinn.

@The G Canon Purist
I don't consider the power he used to perform the environmental feats as power he can consistently bring to bear in combat - his combative limitations for both R1 and R2 are shown against Paratus and Kota, both of whom are definitely far below Council Level.
