On topic Kolar unless by some magical scaling this is true.

Kao was a rough equal of Malgus in their fight without Vindican's interference. Satele makes it clear that Malgus in that confrontation is the most powerful dark sider she's ever met. This includes Darth Baras as of the Sacking of Coruscant, who prior to having his power permanently boosted by Sel-Makor, was far more powerful than Lord Fulminiss. Whose feats/accolades I described.

The presence one exudes in the dark side depends greatly on their demeanour or if they are drawing on it actively. Baras never powered up around Satele. Even when they clashed he easily blocked her attack and calmly told her to stand down. So any reading Satele would get from him would be muted if not outright wrong.

Also Shan called Malgus the most dangerous embodiment. Not the most powerful, not the darkest. So it's likely referring to his rage and or ruthlessness. Likewise the journal entry was written by a much older Satele who is likely taking into account her encounter with Malgus in Hope or any other hype she'd heard since.

As suspected. The scaling chain is bogus on pretty much every level.

Kao and Vindican are both featless and hypeless outside of general "among the best" hype. There's an argument to be made for Kao vs. Koth, maybe, but Kolar is much stronger than his competition here.

But I wouldn't be surprised if he did beat both of them together, even easily. If I recall correctly he scales significantly above Karkko, someone who is folds more impressive than both of these guys

His hype is also better. I'll try to look for the quote but I think one exists where Mace takes the best Jedi in the temple to arrest Palpatine. Assuming that is true, it puts Agen above Cin, Shaak Ti etc.

I think it's more of a nod to the B-team being among the best rather than literally the best, but yeah, Kolar still wins.
