I maintain that the only area that you could argue Vader doing decently against Palpatine in, would be a strict TK contest... But even then, he's still going to be outclassed by most(if not all) iterations of Legends Palpatine.

Factor in all of Palpatine's other abilities, and it's a stomp in his favor -- even as far back as TPM.

Well I mean one force ability is usually proportional to the rest tbf.

Perhaps in some cases.

But imo, none of canon Vader's other displayed Force abilities(ie. TP, speed, sense abilities, etc.) scale to the same level as Palpatine's. From what I've seen, his TK alone is the only ability you could really try to make an argument for.

...And that's aside from Palpatine also having access to additional abilities that Vader does not.
