Are the Prequel Trilogy Junior Novels included in the New Canon?
March 1st 2020, 5:00 pm
Disney Books website sells copies of the Revenge of the Sith junior novel with the Disney logo that started being released in 4th May 2014.

The same is being shown on Amazon, with all 3 Prequels being sold together with Disney logo all over them, saying that it's been published by Disney:

Is there any more information on this?

No. They weren't originally published post-April 25, 2014. Disney just happens to be the publishers for all the junior novels. I've been repeatedly told that the original novelizations and junior novelizations don't fall under Disney Canon, because they still include too many Legends details that are contradictory to the current canon. Same for the comic adaptations of the movies.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the senior novels were never republished by Disney with Disney logos. And the most recent confirmation we have on the canonicity of the senior novels is that the only parts of them are non canon are whenever they contradict the movies

They reference Mimban in the Vader books and Luke references some of the old marvel comics, but that doesn't necessarily make them not canon. For instance, the cyborg bounty hunter from the old marvel comics is back in canon, implications being that those stories are canon, so it's not far fetched mimban and Marvel comics are Canon as well

There are edited versions of the junior novelizations (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_A_New_Hope_(paperback_novel)) so that they fit Disney canon.

I wonder how these novels deal with Old Obi Wan vs Vader, ESB Luke vs Vader, and RoTJ Luke vs Vader
