Canonicity of quick-time events

They involve player interaction and therefore the playable character can fail at them, but in some cases they are still required to advance the story. What do people make of them?

Probably on the edge between C-Canon and S-Canon.

What's that mean? And why?

I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't be legit? I mean sure the player can fail them, but that's not the fault of the character within the setting. Some QT events can fail and the character ends up dying, but that's not exactly true to the story, so the character has to be able to do them, all the player is doing is giving the signal since you are controlling them.
