I liked that Colin's script featured Mortis as a location.

Yes. Far more respectful to the characters.

One thing that I didn't like about Colin's script is the concept of Tor Valum being Palpatine's secret 7,000 year old Sith master because the implications of that it sort of retconns the character of Plagueis as a made up story to lure Anakin to the Dark Side, plus the entire Banite Sith line would be pushed back far longer in the timeline, plus Plagueis was a cool character. A significant change like that would take a lot of time to get used to . But other than that, Colin's script was fascinating.
Though of Colin and/or Lucasfilm wanted to be clever, Plagueis could still canonically be Palpatine's Sith master but Tor Valum would be shoehorned into continuity as Palpatine's other master, and Tor Valum could be a non-Banite Sith.
