Not necessarily arguing that being a Jedi Council member automatically makes you top tier, but neither is Desann by any sense of the margin, especially without his amp from the VotJ. Sora Bulq opted to trick Oppo instead of engaging him directly, which is more than what can be said for Desann in any capacity before his was buffed by the VotJ. Even then, all the details are vague, and considering a massively pre-prime Katarn beat him regardless, Desann doesn't seem like a notable heavyweight, at least compared to other Dark Jedi like Jerec, who actually has a lot of hype.

I'd like to hear the arguments for Desann.

i think oppo will range supreme. he is 300 years old, a thisspiasian with enhanced reflexes, limbs, speed and force power plus he is skilled in battle meditation and malacia- the ability to incapacitate or nauseate an opponent. the battle tactician of the jedi council? you better believe he's prepared for a ground assault.. desaan may have collapsed a bridge on someone, but that does not make him wise or boastworthy, i'm sorry, rancisis is simply too much for this poor boy.
