Also it wrecks at 20 meters if it's already active and ready to fire. Blaster cannons are gonna tear it apart, Mangaguards don't exactly have a good track record against blasters as I recall. In Disney, Mangaguards got wrecked by mere TIE Pilots. Legends they were easily shot apart by Clone Commandos.

So either way you look at it.

Plus the shield generator helps the Droideka too.

Magnaguard. They are resilient to blasters:

 and should be able to get around the shield by laying the electric end of the staff on it until the shield generator overloads and shorts out.
