There's also just better scaling in general.

Generalized/overall scaling within the universe compared to the Canon universe where there isn't much. But then one has been around for the better part of 30+ years while the one is fairly new by comparison, so that's just a given.

What I mean is though, apart from going off of just feats and fighting said characters. You could also scale Vader from previous iterations of him before TFU, however you can then also scale those who he fought down to pretty much the basic foundation of where they came from.

Example, Aurra Sing was completely tooled by Vader in 18 BBY. Now the fight itself could only be used for so much as a feat.

But then you go look into Sing at what she can do and what she has accomplished and who she has fought herself along with who she is, those who she fought who also have feats of themselves which you can then also scale from and go from there.

This paints a much larger picture on the whole, rather than just relying on the feat fight by itself.

Now this isn't to say Ben here lacks that, because certainly he will be gaining some stuff himself due to the KoR showing off what they can do prior to RoS. So really it's only a matter of time. You can also probably do this already with what he's shown.

I hope that explains what I mean, there's a heck of a lot more one can infer rather than just going by feats of characters by themselves. Now obviously this isn't for every single character, so your mileage may vary, but still.

Ben and Rey will probably be getting that too sometime down the line, so long as the writers remember world building is a key part of the SWU...and they just don't throw enemies at them just for the sake of doing so without any build up.
