Vitiate, good fight. Reasons:
-Better scaling (E.g. over Revan, The Exile, Kun and the likes.)
-Better general hype (Established mega-prodigy: killing his father at the age of 10, making a powerful Holocron, and taking over his home planet by the age of 13, eliminating numerous rivals to do so. He then devotes a century to studying the Dark Side, absorbs the power of an entire planet, and becomes the most powerful Sith who had ever lived, before studying the Force further over another 900 years.)
-Better Force feats (Performing the most complex ritual of Sith Sorcery ever attempted, potentially TPing 8000 Sith Lords while doing it, one-shotting the Dark Council, etc.)
-Better scaling (E.g. over Revan, The Exile, Kun and the likes.)

An emotionally distraught Dooku being only edged out by Master Yoda - who's drawing off Vjun arguably more than he is - and defeating him handily on neutral ground after war growth trumps barely defeating the sub-Yoda Revan on a disgustingly powerful nexus. Acting like Vitiate's Vosa level TP and supremacy over the Exile and Kun (lol) changes anything is fucking hilarious.
Good fight, Vitiate dies.

I think you could make a scaling case for Dooku over Vitiate, but it really wouldn't align with the obvious feel and overall body of work of the two.

yeah, u could. dooku is very underrated cuz he exists around the worst time possible hahaha had he been born in the ancient era, or old republic, he wouldve dominated it pretty much.

Bullshit. Novel Vitiate is (at worst) Revan Reborn level. Revan should be above Kun at this stage. He scales too far above Kun, Exile, and the like.

Well, that was charged lightning. Also, Revan was hindered by the Kaas nexus. Do I need to remind you how retardedly strong it is?BreakofDawn wrote:> "Barely" beating Revan.

Was Revan not also capable of drawing upon the dark side? Regardless, I was disputing the idea that he "barely" beat Revan, when he clearly overpowered his defences and fried him in a single attack.IdrisianGraecus wrote:Well, that was charged lightning. Charged lightning on a massive nexus. Revan's alignment was noted to be pure light (in a quote I can't find from school). Via KOTOR 2, Dark Meetra is amped on a DS Nexus (Korriban), and can do whatever the hell she wants. Light Meetra (using abilities like lightning and choke also on Korriban) is still hindered horrendously, to the point where she can't replenish her reserves (force points).BreakofDawn wrote:Was Revan not also capable of drawing upon the dark side? "One-shots" might have been strong, Vitiate wins easily though. The Apprentice wrote:darthbane77 wrote:Vitiate one-shots.
Why?
Imo Vitiate is comparable to RotS Sheev in power, and Dooku, well, isn't even really close to that. I don't see him performing as well as Revan did.
Can't really go into more detail than that at the moment.

@darthbane77
Okay, thanks for clarifying.
On what basis?
Why? Dooku has done fine against Yoda, Wankatine's equal.
And why is that relevant? Revan put up a really solid fight, so Dooku doesn't have to be able to replicate his performance in order to not lose "easily" to Vitiate. And, of course, I'd like reasons for this as well.
Fair enough. Here are some reasons why I don't think Vitiate can beat Dooku easily:
1. He's consistently held his own against Yoda across the Clone Wars.
2. He's been shown to easily dispatch of high-level Force Users like Kenobi, effortlessly, Vitiate isn't putting someone of that caliber down without effort.
However, I will say that Vitiate definitely wins this.

On what basis?
Mostly his scaling beyond people like Kun, Malak, Nihilus, etc, but also his besting Revan, who also scales beyond those I mentioned.
Why? Dooku has done fine against Yoda, Wankatine's equal.
In saber duels, yeah. Yoda is, regardless of that, far more powerful than Dooku by virtue of that parity to Palpatine, as well as the Tier Lists written for RotS by Nick Gillard and approved by George Lucas. Imo Yoda has never actually *tried* to kill Dooku, he's never gone "all out," and he's still easily countered Dooku's attacks and quickly proved himself Dooku's superior in a saber duel. Even an amped Dooku on Vjun couldn't beat Yoda. So all we've seen from Dooku, and all I've read regarding their battles with each other, doesn't really instill me with confidence that Dooku is actually capable of giving a solid challenge to someone on Yoda or Sidious' level that's actually *trying* to kill him, like Vitiate would be. We even see the result of someone of that level going all in against Dooku in RotS, when Anakin duels him on the Invisible Hand, and what happens is Dooku gets stomped.
And why is that relevant? Revan put up a really solid fight, so Dooku doesn't have to be able to replicate his performance in order to not lose "easily" to Vitiate. And, of course, I'd like reasons for this as well.
I feel like my above answer should suffice for this as well.

2. He's been shown to easily dispatch of high-level Force Users like Kenobi, effortlessly, Vitiate isn't putting someone of that caliber down without effort.
1: Like I said, he's never fought a Force user of Yoda's caliber that was utilizing their full strength, not until his duel with Anakin in RotS, and in that battle, Dooku was stomped. He'd have suffered the same fate against a Yoda or a Windu that had stopped curbing themselves as well, based on the fact that Anakin, Yoda, Windu, and Sidious are all comparable to each other in both skill and power.
2: I mean yeah, but Kenobi isn't remotely comparable to any of the heavy hitters we're discussing anyway, so I don't see Dooku kek-ing Kenobi as any real reason to believe he could perform well against Vitiate.

Vitiate's scaling levels are just ludicrous. So yes, he wins.
