O-Siri wrote:Even the worst of the original six is still very good, at least a 7. It's too bad the story had to be rushed and condensed into only one film rather than the original planned four. The main problem I had was Vader and the main cast. Vader lacks the charisma he had in Empire, he's too despondent, lacking that drive and ambition that made him so compelling as a villain in the last film. And the character interactions in Return of the Jedi are placid. Han is just a generic good guy with none of the sass and swagger that made him great and Leia is practically a vegetable. They had much better chemistry in the first two films, and in a series where the main strengths are the characters, it's kind of a big deal. Ah well still a great ending and plenty of isolated great moments.
