We are going into the second half.
We rate the movies, then I tally the votes into arithmetic average.
My personal, simplified interpretation of the scale below, in spoilertag.

Ninth round: Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi (ROTJ)
My personal, simplified interpretation of the scale below, in spoilertag.
- Spoiler:
- More general depiction of how I would see the scale:
1/10 - absolute failure, complete, utter shit, worst of all time.
2/10 - terrible movie, one of the worst to watch ever.
3/10 - very poor.
4/10 - weak, failed movie.
5/10 - completely normal, average movie, not much of fun, but not much of pain either.
6/10 - a good movie.
7/10 - very above average movie, really, really nice.
8/10 - incredibly awesome movie, wonderful thing to watch.
9/10 - nearing perfection, absolutely outstanding, magnificent, incredible thing.
10/10 - absolute perfection, pinnacle of the art, it's impossible to beat, pure, perfect masterpiece.

7 or 8/10. Love this film, especially the Vader vs Luke fight. It's my favourite fight in Star Wars, followed very closely by Obi-Wan vs Anakin.

It's honestly 10/10 for me tbh. Objectively it would be 9, but eh, I can do one exception for my favorite of all time.

Even the worst of the original six is still very good, at least a 7. It's too bad the story had to be rushed and condensed into only one film rather than the original planned four. The main problem I had was Vader and the main cast. Vader lacks the charisma he had in Empire, he's too despondent, lacking that drive and ambition that made him so compelling as a villain in the last film. And the character interactions in Return of the Jedi are placid. Han is just a generic good guy with none of the sass and swagger that made him great and Leia is practically a vegetable. They had much better chemistry in the first two films, and in a series where the main strengths are the characters, it's kind of a big deal. Ah well still a great ending and plenty of isolated great moments.

9/10 for me as well. Definitely my favorite Star Wars movie. Really made me appreciate Vader as a character more.

This is a 9+/10. It's tied with ESB as the greatest Star Wars movie IMHO. It does have some more flaws than ESB like some weird plot points and somewhat boring segments, and the Ewok scenes can definitely be hit or miss for people, but it also has both the space battle of Endor and the Throne Room scene, which are some of the best moments in the Star Wars saga, especially the latter which contains probably the most pivotal moments in all of cinema. It was really satisfying to see Luke Skywalker develop so far. Overall one of the pinnacles of the Star Wars franchise.
