Three members of the council—Plo Koon, Saesee Tiin, and Depa Billaba, excellent fighters all—had come forward and attacked him. Master Yoda had not been armed, and had not seemed to move more than a meter or so, his tread slow and measured. Nevertheless, none of the three had been able to lay a finger on him.

Yo it was a theatrical demonstration not a legit fight. There’s no way of proving that the team was desperately trying to tag Yoda

Sidious' attack can be seen as somewhat unexpected. Sources like Revenge of the Sith novel has Sids distracting the team with talk jujitsu, while others have stated he telepathically exuded a haze of confusion among the Jedi -- which allowed him to pounce on the opportunity. The former contradicts the film, but the later actually can fit right in.
Not that I agree the aforementioned Jedi can beat Yoda, anyway. Just commenting on the one-saber strike blitz.

Every source has Sidious catchinh them off guard in some way. Strength to strength Kolar, Tiin, Fisto and Mace combined would put Sidious in the ground.
