How depressed was Obi-Wan Kenobi during his exile on Tatooine?

Legends seems like it would give more information due to more material, hence why I’m posting this question here.

IIRC he did a lot of reflecting on his failure with Anakin but he spent most of his time learning from Qui-Gon or watching over Luke. There isn't too much out there on his mental state.

He was mournful, often felt old and weary, and kept some of the blame on himself but other than that he was pretty content with his lot in life and the state of things. He really wasn't all that despondent when all is said and done, as he still had a purpose in watching over Luke and moving closer to true spiritual enlightenment.

I would also add that when Ben found out that Vader still lived, his heart sank and was even more worried about the state of Luke Skywalker now that his father has lived
